We’re getting married
-
Lauren Schoeffler, Bride
Two truths and a lie:
(1) I want to travel to all seven continents (only four more left to go!)
(2) I always knew I wanted to be a lawyer.
(3) This is the picture that Joe swiped right on.
Unusual skills:
Cooking almost anything, losing my belongings, picking up accents
-
Joe Graham, Groom
Two truths and a lie:
(1) I’ve gone fishing in a sunken volcano.
(2) This is the picture that Lauren swiped right on.
(3) I’ve run a marathon.
Best travel story:
I didn’t get on an airplane until I was 27. That first flight was the morning after one of my best friend’s wedding, to Brazil, for three weeks on a work trip and I had never been out of the country before.
Bridesmaids
-
Meredith Klionsky, Maid of Honor
Worst idea I've ever had:
So, so many. And yet they always seem to work out for me!
Best travel story:
Locking my and Lauren’s passports and money in a safe in Havana, Cuba…and forgetting the code. Luckily I remembered it after a few cervezas jogged my memory.
How I met Lauren:
I met Lauren on the first day of law school orientation and immediately told her that we would be best friends. It’s nearly 13 years later and think we can say that I was not wrong.
-
Natalie Clericuzio, Bridesmaid
I geek out on:
Yankees baseball stats, medical knowledge, and Latin classics. I’m a woman of many talents.
I won't shut up about:
I’m from Mississippi and think that the South is a much more complex and diverse region than most think it is. Also, bread pudding.
How I met Lauren:
Lauren and I met through my roommate freshman year at Rice University. We were both at Wiess College and became fast friends through powderpuff football and our love of college basketball.
Groomsmen
-
Collin Grant, Best Man & Officiant
My best dad joke:
I’ve been building my son’s trust for the last three years with high fives. Today I’m going to hit him with a “too-slow”. Welcome to the real world, son.
My best celebrity impression:
My best celebrity impression is…prettaay pretty pretty good.
How I met Joe:
Joe and I had both recently moved to the big city of Peoria, Illinois and had little to no friends. So, when we were set up on a blind date, we were equal parts nervous and exhilarated to finally meet. I took him to this beautiful seafood restaurant filled with rich mahogany and was dimly light by candlelight. When we both reached for the last Cheddar Bay Biscuit and our fingers touched, we knew this love would last forever.
-
Justin Nelson, Groomsman
A shower thought I recently had:
What it would take to remodel this damn shower and how much it will cost me?
Biggest risk I’ve taken:
Having never really skied before, I joined Joe and Collin for a ski trip to Arapahoe Basin in Colorado. After two green runs, we went to the top of the mountain at 12,500+ft and I “skied” (aka fell) my way down.
How I met Joe:
We met all the way back in middle school in Boone, Iowa at a friend’s house where we would have “wrestling matches” on the trampoline.
-
Justin Neely, Usher
Favorite quote:
“You shoot me in a dream, you better wake up and apologize.” – Mr. White, Reservoir Dogs
I won’t shut up about:
Whenever the boys get together for a few drinks I usually start in on the Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon series and go down the rabbit hole from all the fan lore from the books or any other tidbits I find online.
How I met Joe:
We met in high school during my sophomore year when Justin Nelson invited me to come sit at a study hall table with Joe and Brian Price. I could tell from his general disdain for me that he was not cool sitting with an underclassman. It didn’t take long for him to realize just how cool I was and that’s how we became friends.
-
Ryne Hilsabeck, Usher
A life goal of mine:
A life goal of mine is finally visit Germany, the homeland of my ancestors. In all seriousness, I just want people to say I’m a good guy when I’m not around.
Change my mind about:
Change my mind about fly fishing. I’m not sure why anyone would work so hard to catch such small fish ;)
How I met Joe:
We first met all the way back in Little League baseball when he was the “big stick” for an AAU team under Ron Tilley…wasn’t the worst pitcher either. It wasn’t until right after high school when became friends and have considered him one of my good friends ever since.
Our wolfpack
